Archie Sutter Watt, William Gillies and John Maxwell

Stranraer Museum
April 27 @ 10:00 am - June 1 @ 4:45 pm

Archie Sutter Watt RSW, (1915-2005) was one of Dumfries and Galloway’s best-loved artists. A charitable trust was set up after his death to look after his archive of work and to make grant awards to young artists and education projects in Dumfries and Galloway.

It has been a pleasure for the Trustees to bring together this new exhibition of his work, showcased alongside the work of Sir William Gillies RSA (1898-1973) and John Maxwell RSA (1905-1962). This three-person show will highlight these important artists and their contribution to the story of art in Scotland.
